Mattingly RBI- Evansville

Do you have a son or daughter between the ages of 6-15 that is interested in playing T-ball, baseball or softball?  

The 2017 Mattingly RBI season is right around the corner!  
Our program is open and free to all children in the Evansville area, at all athletic levels.

All equipment is provided, or you can bring your own! 

First practice is March 1st.
Season begins April 3rd at Bellemeade Park.

 Our Mission:

- Create a positive, fun environment in which children and adults can enjoy the games of baseball and softball.
- Promoting high self-esteem and self-confidence by giving children the opportunity to learn and succeed in baseball and softball.
- Modeling and teaching the fundamentals of healthy competition and emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship.
- Teaching fundamental baseball and softball skills and rules.
- Foster a desire to continue to participate in bat and ball sports.

Our Mission

Mattingly Charities has been created to serve underprivileged youth by supporting programs which promote baseball and softball participation in conjunction with other developmentally related activities. Mattingly Charities will provide funding and services and equipment for baseball, softball, and ultimately other sports, and related youth development activities, for the benefit of underprivileged youth, youth leagues, and social welfare and related organizations. 100% of the efforts of the organization will be focused on these activities.

Our Founder

Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, Don Mattingly played his entire 14-year Major League career from 1982-95 with the New York Yankees. Currently, Don is the manager of the Miami Marlins.

Career highlights include:

- 3X Silver Slugger Award Winner
- 6x All-Star/ 9X Gold Glove Award winner
- 1997 New York Yankees retired #23
- 2004-2007 New York Yankees coach
- 2008- 2010 Los Angeles Dodgers hitting coach
- 2011-2015 Los Angeles Dodgers manager
