Nancy Bennett Joins Mattingly Charities 2016 Event Fundraising Committee

Mattingly Charities is pleased to announce that Evansville’s Nancy Bennett has been contracted as the Event Coordinator for our November 30, 2016 event, An Intimate Evening with Friends presented byUnited Companies.

 

In this role, Bennett will be responsible for overseeing all of the details, design and logistics for this fundraiser benefitting Evansville’s Mattingly RBI League and other Evansville designated youth programs.  For more than two decades, Nancy has been the premier event designer and coordinator for events in the Midwest which include St. Mary’s Medical Center Cornette Ball, IVY Tech Gala, Reitz Memorial Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, Porsche Club of America Parade and Concour.

 

Nancy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications from the University of Southern Indiana.

Our Mission

Mattingly Charities has been created to serve underprivileged youth by supporting programs which promote baseball and softball participation in conjunction with other developmentally related activities. Mattingly Charities will provide funding and services and equipment for baseball, softball, and ultimately other sports, and related youth development activities, for the benefit of underprivileged youth, youth leagues, and social welfare and related organizations. 100% of the efforts of the organization will be focused on these activities.

Our Founder

Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, Don Mattingly played his entire 14-year Major League career from 1982-95 with the New York Yankees. Currently, Don is the manager of the Miami Marlins.
 

Career highlights include:

- 6x All-Star/ 9X Gold Glove Award winner
- 1997 New York Yankees retired #23
- 2004-2007 New York Yankees coach
